Creating good jobs in Wichita has to be a priority.
My grandparents were driven off the family farm during the Dust Bowl. The next family business was owning a gas station at the corner of Harry and Hydraulic in Wichita. That is where Dad worked and that is where he met Mom just before World War II.
Wichita has had its ups and downs and recently the coronavirus has put a real dent in jobs provided by the aviation industry.
We need to support hiring back people who have been laid off and even help create new jobs in Wichita.
Not just any job, but good paying jobs that allow those men and women to support their families.
